lpmcampus.ukm.ums.ac.id- (24/9) Self-actualization, according to Maslow, represents growth of an individual toward fulfillment of the highest needs, those for meaning in life, in particular. Humans tend to be ambitious to fulfill their needs, even in their “Self-actualization”. They will do everything to reach their top of life. However, in Islam perspective, the purpose of human life in this world is not about getting favors in the world, but also favors in the hereafter life. Self-actualization begins with our ability to look at life and the life, and Islam has its own views on this matter both in terms of ideal and conceptual.

The perspective of Islam about self-actualization was stated in the several Surah in Al-Quran. That is surah At-Tin fourth verse, stated that "Verily We created man in the best possible shape." (QS. At-Tin: 4). Then, the above verse is interpreted by Maraghi on this point: "... More than that we be particular man with his wits, in order to think and to draw a wide range of knowledge and be able to perform all of his inspiration. "Actualization in the Qur'an perspective more emphasis on process the human ability to think, in addition, self-actualization is closely related to self-awareness (awareness, as-syu'ru) and responsibility.

The second is "And look at what God has bestowed to you (happiness) in the Hereafter, and do not forget the happiness of (enjoyment) world and do good (to others) as Allah has done good to you, and do not mischief on the (face) earth. Allah loves not those who do mischief. "(Q.S Al-Qasas: 77). This verse explains that Islam considers all individual motives as the process of actualization to complete their needs will be positive and productive (positive regard, in the opinion of Carl Rogers), when a set of elements of his humanity intact and complementary, and builds upon the interaction of values. This interaction will usually give birth to the conduct or behavior, where the tendency of natural is to balance a permanent basis. Both the fulfillment of basic human needs fairly, the existence and continuity in running their lives, and the balance of other vital (homo-static) according to size, in accordance with capacity, according to his ability.

And the last is "We have created everything according to size" (QS. Al-Qamar: 49). Taking by the terms of Maslow, the need for it is called by 17 Meta needs which include: truth, goodness, beauty, unity, dichotomy-transcendence, livers, perfection, necessity, completion, justice, order, simplicity, richness, without difficulty hard, play, and self-sufficient. And if it is not complete, will be Meta pathology in humans are: apathy, boredom, despair, did not have a sense of humor anymore, alienation, selfishness, and loss of appetite and so on.

Well campusers, from the statement above we can conclude that no matter wherever you are in the hierarchy of needs, all your needs are fulfilled by Allah Almighty. Therefore, in addition to working as humanly possible for fulfillment of those needs, a person needs to ask assistance and blessings of Allah Almighty so that he or she could have the needs fulfilled in the best possible manner.
